Northeast Classic Car Museum

I hope to have something about this place soon. Both our first visit, and I’ll be adding to it this fall when we go again, this time with friends.

Northeast Classic Car Museum,

While we will be going back this fall with friends, I decided to put a small piece up about our visit a few years back. It was one of the stops we made on our way to Cleveland. It was to stretch our legs, maybe get a bite to eat, and see what the area had to offer.. We saw this museum and decided to give it a try, sure glad we did. We were lucky enough to get there early and one of the gentleman there asked if we want a private tour, we said Hell yeah! Now mind you my wife is not a car nut by any means, but she is always willing to try something new out, good thing, she had a blast. The older gentleman knew so much about the cars / trucks it was amazing. The museum is well layout, many with notebooks in front of the vehicle showing before, during and after pictures and stories about that car.. Now if there was a downside to the tour, it’s was that it took a lot longer to go through the whole museum than it might have taken if we’d have just got through by ourselves. Te plus side, was we learned A LOT more then we would have had we done it be ourselves.

The Northeast Classic Car Museum in Norwich, New York, was founded in 1997 by George Staley, a local dairy farmer and businessman who donated 70 cars from his personal collection to start the non-profit organization. His extensive collection, including many Franklins and Packards, formed the basis of the museum.
