I got to spend the day with the oldest granddaughter (Victoria) and we went all over creation (just the way I like it). We started our adventure at a Garden Center Carolina Home and Garden of Newport, NC. Victoria is taking over typing btw. So we started at the this garden center because it like low key fire. It’s a great place because they not only have lots of plants to look at, you can also can get food and drinks (both non and alcoholic if you are feeling that way). They have a great coffee shop attached to their bar. I tried the caramel coconut iced latte with oat milk. I also kept the whip and caramel drizzle because well you only live once. Then Pepere tried the fresh lemonade with blueberry puree. That was also very good. Before we decided to get drinks we also explored the actual garden center They have a lot of different plant types for you to look at and purchase. You can also even buy other things for your garden like new pots and specialized soil for any plants you might be trying to grow.

After that stop we headed to The Friendly Market out in Morehead, NC. This sho makes and sells a lot of local foods. They make cookies, bread, and even chips every morning. My friend will drive the 45 mins from Jacksonville just for the chips that this market makes. There double chocolate chip cookies are also the shit (They don’t give you the shits, this is slang for they are really good, like Really Good) Like I ate 4 cookies out 8 in one sitting, good. They also sell these Salt and Balsamic Vinegar chips that are like super good and I have only found them there so that’s why we had to go to this store, which is why I got 4 bags this time.

Continuing on we decided that we needed some sustenance. After asking what Pepere was in the mood for we decided to look into the area a little as I only really know good coffee shops in that area. We decided to go to No Name Pizza and Subs. I am also pretty picky about my pizza but I will say this place is a go to again. We also tried their chicken wings which were also good enough to bring home. Pepere decided that he wanted an Italian sub so that’s what he got. They also had a lot of desserts to pick from but we got some small pies from The Friendly Market, so I will have to go back to try their desserts.

After being fed we decided to try and make our way back to the house. This proved to be a struggle as Pepere doesn’t know his left from his right lol (in pepper defense – She pointed to the left and said turn right) But this was okay as we did have to stop at a grocery store. With this little detour we decided to go to Harris Teeter. Though they did not have everything we needed. Once we checked out we got back on the road home to stop at another grocery store, Lowe’s Food. This grocery store is honestly a lot. This store also did not have everything we needed to complete our list, even for having a lot. This meant we had to stop again….. The next store on the road home was a Walmart. Only then, at Walmart, were we able to complete our list. With our list completed we only had one last stop which was to pick ups some eggs from a friend. Once the eggs were retrieved we were able to head back to the house just in time for dinner.
